Though often unsung, linemen form the backbone of any good offense in football.
On Wednesday, Franklin College's line got some notice for its work, as junior guards
Ben Roembke and
Isaak Fischer were among those selected to the D3football.com All-Region teams. Roembke was named to the All-Region 4 second team, while Fischer was a third-team pick.Â
The two were among 10 HCAC players selected to the first, second or third teams in the region.
Fischer and Roembke were mainstays on an offensive front that paved the way for
Mike Leonard's squad to average 32 points and 415.4 yards of offense per game. The Grizzlies put up 3,131 passing yards in 10 games and scored 30 of their 47 total touchdowns through the air.
The two junior Hoosiers — Fischer hails from Greenwood and Roembke from Lawrence — were both second-year starters this fall and are expected to anchor a veteran Griz line in 2026.
