ONE FINAL FAUGHT
Franklin takes its home field for the last time in 2025 on Saturday afternoon (1:30 p.m.), facing off against the Bluffton Beavers. The Grizzlies had won 11 straight meetings in the series before the Beavers stormed out to an early lead at home last year and held on for a 28-22 victory.
LAST TIME OUT
The Grizzlies bounced back from a rough loss at Mount St. Joseph (Oct. 25) by throttling Anderson by a 41-7 count at Lapel (Ind.) High School. Senior
Trevor Winkles rushed for a career-high 124 yards and three touchdowns and
Marshall Kmiecik threw for 300 yards and three TDs, two of those to
Jordan Fonda. The Franklin defense did its part by limiting the Ravens to just 87 yards of total offense (7 rushing, 80 passing).
HOLDING THE LINE
Against Anderson, the Griz dominated the line of scrimmage on both offense and defense, outgaining the Ravens by a massive 512-87 margin. Franklin averaged 6.4 yards per play from scrimmage while holding Anderson to 1.6, making 12 stops behind the line of scrimmage and sacking Raven quarterbacks six times. Defensive end
Carter Edney also intercepted a pass, his second pick of the season.
GOING OUT ON TOP
The Franklin seniors will be trying to even their career record in home finales to 2-2 with a win on Saturday. The Grizzlies defeated Manchester in their last Faught Stadium appearance in 2023, but ended the season with losses to Hanover in 2022 and 2024. Franklin is 12-1 all-time at home against Bluffton, with the lone setback coming in 2000.
