FRANKLIN, Ind. — Franklin College is hosting a 24-hour online fundraiser titled #GRIZTuesday on Tuesday, Dec.2, with all donations supporting its athletic programs.
"Six years ago, we reimagined Giving Tuesday as GRIZTuesday — a day devoted entirely to celebrating and strengthening Franklin College athletics," said Nora Brems, Franklin College vice president for institutional advancement. "Every gift made during this 24-hour event directly fuels the success of our student-athletes and the programs that inspire our Grizzly pride."
"GRIZTuesday is the most impactful day of the year for rallying support behind our athletic programs and the student-athletes who proudly represent Franklin College — in every arena, from the court and track to the field and pool," said Franklin College vice president Andrew A. Hendricks. "Every contribution helps provide essential equipment, uniforms and resources that elevate the student-athlete experience today, while strengthening our programs to create even greater opportunities for the Grizzlies of tomorrow."
The college is planning to use social media, especially Facebook, TikTok and Instagram, to market the 24-hour fundraising effort, as well as email and other college-owned communication channels.
