Senior men's basketball player
Connor McNabb and sophomore women's basketball player
Ava Reitmeyer were chosen to represent Franklin College on the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference's Christopher M. Ragsdale Sportsmanship team for the 2025-26 winter season.
The HCAC All-Sportsmanship Award is named in honor of former HCAC commissioner Christopher M. Ragsdale, who led the conference from 2009 to 2018. In its inaugural season, the All-Sportsmanship team was recognized following each sports season, and the league has returned to this practice of honoring athletes outside of the conference championship season to elevate the focus placed on these deserving individuals.
A native of Indianapolis, McNabb started 16 games for the Griz men, averaging 3.4 points and 3.1 rebounds. Reitmeyer, a product of Bloomington, Indiana, appeared in 12 games for the HCAC runner-up Griz women. Both have excelled academically, with Reitmeyer maintaining a perfect 4.0 grade-point average and McNabb also a regular presence on the dean's list.
The sportsmanship award was developed as part of a conference-wide sportsmanship initiative in 2009. Members of the All-HCAC Sportsmanship team for each championship season include two athletes from each member institution, each of whom are selected by their schools as individuals who represent values that are associated with positive sportsmanship on and off the field/court. Nominees must have demonstrated consistently values such as fairness, respect, integrity, support and positivity in their participation in intercollegiate athletics within the HCAC.
