A Franklin men's soccer team that showed growth under first-year head coach
Josh Hughes saw its progress recognized on Wednesday afternoon when senior defender
Lucas Pereira and junior midfielder
Russell Bilohlavek were selected to the All-HCAC third team.
Pereira, who hails from São Paulo, Brazil, was a rock for the Grizzlies at center back, starting all 16 matches he played in and logging a team-leading 1,296 minutes. He scored a goal, the fifth of his career, against Transylvania in his final collegiate match.
Bilohlavek was second on the team in minutes played with 1,215, starting all 17 of Franklin's games on the year. He also had one goal on the season, scoring on a penalty kick against Eureka, and notched a pair of assists in a 2-0 home win over Manchester.
