Justin Harrington Earns HCAC Player of the Week Nod

11/10/2025 3:01:00 PM

Justin Harrington didn't start either game this past weekend for Franklin men's basketball, but he had a big hand in helping the Grizzlies finish both of them off.

The sophomore was chosen as the HCAC Player of the Week after two massive bench performances, lighting it up down the stretch in victories over Olivet and Hope. He is the first Franklin men's player to earn weekly honors since Carter Crowe in December of 2022.

On Friday night, Harrington erupted for a game-high 26 points in 28 minutes against Olivet, hitting 8 of 14 shots from the field (with three 3-pointers) and 7 of 9 from the foul line. His efforts keyed a game-closing 18-2 run as the Grizzlies rallied from behind for an 85-74 triumph. The following evening, he added 16 points on just six shots, hitting 7 of 8 free throws to help lead the Grizzlies to a 73-58 win over Hope in a game that was tied at 55-55 with four and a half minutes left. The 5-foot-11 Indianapolis native had eight points in the closing 18-3 surge, hitting all six of his foul shots.

The Grizzlies will travel to Knox for their 2025-26 road opener on Saturday afternoon.
