Franklin women's swimming and diving started the 2025-26 season right where it ended the last one — dominating the awards haul.
Junior
Kat Lundy and sophomore
Alexis Fleming were chosen as the HCAC Swimmer and Diver of the Week after delivering sterling performances at the Indiana DIII Championships last Saturday at Wabash.
Lundy was perfect in her individual swims, claiming first place in the 100-yard backstroke (59.60), 200 backstroke (2:11.32) and 100 individual medley (1:03.06). The Winchester, Indiana native also teamed with
Avery Tomlinson,
Celeste Hollis and
Petal Sloan to win the 200 medley relay.
Fleming, who hails from Monroe, Ohio, narrowly edged teammate
Kaleigh Schuler (190.00 to 189.00) on the 1-meter board, then followed up by winning the 3-meter with a score of 201.75 points.
The Grizzlies are back in action this weekend in Kentucky with a double dual against Case Western and host team Centre.
