For the first time in almost a month, Franklin women's tennis was back on its home court Thursday afternoon for a meeting with IU East.
The Grizzlies took advantage of the comforts of home, picking up a 5-2 victory.
Franklin (3-4) pulled out the doubles point courtesy of
Emma Sappenfield and
Eleanor Stillabower, who eked out a 7-6 win in the No. 2 position.
In singles play, the Grizzlies got a straight-set win from
Reagan Cox in the third spot (6-3, 6-0), while
Sofie Ballesteros rallied from a set down to prevail in three sets at No. 5. Franklin picked up one more point on an injury retirement and another by forfeit.
The team will be back in action Saturday afternoon at home against Olivet.
