Franklin women's tennis concluded the fall portion of its season on Sunday afternoon at the Mickel-Hoover Tennis Complex.

The Grizzlies had a three-match losing streak snapped, falling to Alma by a 6-1 score.

"We came out sluggish," Franklin coach Ryan Hammer said, "but competed even when we weren't playing our best."

Franklin lost the doubles point despite the team of Sofie Ballesteros and Alleigh Leezer picking up a 6-3 victory in the No. 3 spot. Ballesteros did pick up the Grizzlies' lone point on the day, rallying from a set down for a 4-6, 6-3, 13-11 triumph at fifth singles. Emma Tranter also took her match to the third-set super tiebreak before coming up short, 10-7.

The Grizzlies finish the fall with a 5-5 record.
