NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Franklin women's soccer team hit the road for the first time this fall on Saturday (Sept. 7) afternoon, taking on Muskingum University.
The Grizzlies (0-2-2) fell into a multi-goal hole early and spent the rest of the game trying to battle back. But the Muskies (3-0) would hold the two-goal lead for more than 70 minutes in a 2-0 win for the home side.
How it Happened
Franklin conceded the game's two goals in the sixth and 20
th minutes, respectively.
Jaiden Baker had the best look at goal for the Grizzlies in the 26
th minute, but her shot attempt was turned back by the opposing keeper.
The Muskies limited the Grizzlies just two shot attempts over the final 55 minutes of play, closing out the clean sheet.
