FRANKLIN – The Franklin women's soccer team wrapped up a season-opening three-game homestand on Wednesday (Sept. 4) night, hosting Asbury University under the Faught Stadium lights.
The Grizzlies (0-1-2) earned their second consecutive draw, battle the Eagles (1-0-1) to a scoreless draw on the evening.
How it Happened
Both teams generated four shot attempts each in the opening half, but the second half was controlled by the Eagles as the visitors had all five shot attempts in the second half. Asbury appeared to score the ice-breaker late in the second half, but a goal was wiped out by a player offside on the scoring play.
