GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Franklin College baseball team wrapped up a weekend series with the Albion Britons on Sunday (Mar. 10) with a single game at Center Grove HS.
The Grizzlies (5-4) fell into an early hole and manages just one hit over the first five innings, as the Britons (7-4) pulled away to win 14-7 and take the series.
Sean Sullivan belted his third home run of the weekend, going 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two knocked in.
Tysen Lipscomb and
Garrett DeHart had two hits each for the Griz offense.
Jordan DeAtley recorded the first RBI of his Franklin career with a ninth inning single.
Dylan Sprong (1-2) got the start on the mound, scattering four hits over four innings of work.
The Grizzlies will be back at it on Tuesday (Mar. 12) afternoon, when they host Wilmington College at John P. McDowell Field for one game. First pitch is set for 4:00 p.m.
