RECAP | Griz Pull Away Late to Take Tuesday Afternoon Matchup with Wilmington

FRANKLIN – The Franklin College baseball team got back in the win column with a Tuesday (Mar. 12) afternoon win over the Wilmington Quakers.

Franklin (6-4) jumped in front with a five-run third inning and put the finishing touches on the win with a 10-run eighth to beat the Quakers (1-9) 20-9.

How it Happened

Franklin collected their next four runs with help from the Quaker pitching staff, drawing three bases loaded walks and having one run score on a wild pitch. Leading 9-5 win the eighth, Franklin put the game out of reach with 11 runs in the frame with eight different players notching an RBI in the inning.
