RECAP | Hendricks Drops Career-High 33 Points, Grizzlies Hang On for Huge Road Win Over Manchester

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – Four days after setting a career high in scoring, senior Jack Hendricks one-upped himself in a big way and helped the Griz men's basketball team secure a huge road win on Wednesday (Feb. 7) night.

Hendricks went 11-for-17 from the field and dropped 33 points as Franklin (12-10, 10-5 HCAC) held on for an 85-82 win over Manchester (13-9, 10-5 HCAC) in Stauffer Wolfe Arena.

How it Happened
The Grizzlies rattled off the game's first big run with an 11-0 run that turned a three-point lead into a 30-16 advantage with 6:45 to go in the opening half. Manchester charged all the way back to tie things up in the final minute, but Hendricks would send the Grizzlies into the locker with a 42-39 lead, burying a late three to finish off a 21-point first half for the senior guard.

With the game tied at 53, Franklin appeared to blow the game wide open with a 17-2 run that made it 70-55 with seven minutes to play. But just as they did in the first half, Manchester fought back and got back within a possession at 79-76 with two minutes to play. But the Grizzlies wouldn't budge down the stretch, scoring the rest of their points at the free throw line and forcing an errant game-tying three at the buzzer that was off the mark.
