LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Franklin women's soccer team closed out a three-game road trip on Wednesday (Oct. 9) night, taking on the Transylvania Pioneers in a battle of teams unbeaten in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) play.

The Grizzlies (3-5-2, 2-1 HCAC) scored in the opening minute, but couldn't tack on an insurance goal and the Pioneers (3-4-2, 2-0-1 HCAC) would go on to take the contest by a 3-1 score.

How it Happened
Franklin got the scoring started just 58 seconds in, with Jaiden Baker hammering home her second goal of the year and the early lead. That lead would stick until the 42nd minute, when the Pioneers drew level to send the teams into the half all tied up.

Transy would add goals just 39 seconds apart in the 65th minute and ride the two-goal lead to victory.
