RECAP | Senior Trio Leads Grizzlies to Senior Day Win Over Beavers

FRANKLIN – The Franklin women's soccer team welcomed the Bluffton Beavers to Faught Stadium on Saturday (Oct. 12) afternoon, honoring the program's three seniors on senior day ahead of the opening kick.

Those three seniors would have a senior day to remember, with Makenna Mundy, Jaiden Baker and Maddison Claybrooke all playing a vital role in a 2-1 win for the Grizzlies (4-5-2, 3-1 HCAC).

How it Happened
Claybrooke put the Grizzlies in front in the fifth minute, getting a knee on a Baker corner kick for her second goal of the season. In the 28th minute, the senior duo would make Bluffton pay on a set piece once again, with Claybrooke heading home another Baker corner kick for the second brace of her career.

Bluffton cut the Franklin lead in half late in the first half, but Franklin would fend off the Beavers' high press in the second half as the visitors searched for the tying goal.
