FRANKLIN – The Franklin College women's soccer team welcomed the Rose-Hulman Engineers to Faught Stadium on a chilly Wednesday (Oct. 16) night with three big conference points up for grabs.
The Grizzlies (4-6-2, 3-2 HCAC) dropped the matchup with the Engineers (5-6-1, 4-0-1 HCAC), as Rose remained unbeaten in conference play with a 5-0 win.
The Engineers opened the scoring in the 11
th minutes and swarmed the Franklin defense for the rest of the evening, adding another goal before the half and three in the final 45 minutes.
Makenna Mundy finished the night with seven saves in just under 77 minutes of action, with
Emma Watson stopping two shots in relief.
Franklin looks to bounce back on Saturday (Oct. 19) night, when they head to Cincinnati, Ohio for a meeting with the Mount St. Joseph Lions. Kick-off is set for 6:00 p.m.
