CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Franklin women's soccer team hit the road for a Saturday (Oct. 19) night conference showdown with the Mount St. Joseph Lions.
The Grizzlies (4-7-2, 3-3 HCAC) dropped their second straight match, with the Lions (7-3-4, 5-0-1 HCAC) taking the match by a 3-0 score.
The Lions found a break through late in the first half, getting the game's first goal in the 36
th minute before adding insurance goals early in the second half. Franklin struggled to find a breakthrough against one of the league's top defensive teams, finishing with four shot attempts on the night.
Makenna Mundy got the start in goal for the Grizzlies, stopping five shot attempts.
Franklin is back at home for their final two home matches of the season next week, with the first coming on Wednesday (Oct. 23) night against the Manchester Spartans. Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
