FRANKLIN – The Franklin volleyball team hit the Spurlock Center floor on Wednesday (Oct. 30) night for their penultimate home match of the regular season, facing off with the Rose-Hulman Engineers.
Before the game, the program honored seniors
Miranda Wilson and
Makalyn Miller as part of the senior night ceremonies. But the Grizzlies (9-17, 0-6 HCAC) had their senior night spoiled by the Engineers (9-16, 2-4 HCAC) with Rose winning in three sets, 25-23, 25-16, 25-20.
The difference was in the attack, as the Engineers' defense flustered Franklin hitters and kept the hosts to a .094 on the attack.
Hope Moring and
McKenzie Schroeder tied for the team lead with nine kills on the night.
Campbell Clark led the back line with 17 digs and
Brionna Linkel handed out 22 assists on the evening. Schroeder and
Katelyn Barnard tied for the team lead with two blocks each. Moring,
Hannah Phegley and
Charlotte Goto had one assist each.
