BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Franklin women's basketball team wrapped up a four-game road swing on Saturday (Jan. 6) afternoon, taking on the Bluffton Beavers.
Franklin (9-4, 4-2 HCAC) struggled to get shots to fall all afternoon, connecting on just 30.4% (21-for-69) of their shot attempts as the Beavers (4-9, 2-4 HCAC) took a 72-54 win.
Jordan Coon had 12 points to lead the way for the Grizzlies with
Brooke Grinstead adding 11 points with a team-high three three-pointers. The Beavers pulled away in the two middle quarters, out-scoring Franklin 30-16 in the second and third quarters, respectively.
Payton Seay led the Grizzlies with nine rebounds, with Bluffton holding a 49-35 edge on the glass. Coon and Seay tied for the team lead with three steals each on defense.
Franklin is at home for the first time in 2024 on Wednesday (Jan. 10), hosting the Mount St. Joseph Lions. Tip-off from the Spurlock Center is set for 7:00 p.m.
