ANDERSON, Ind. – The Franklin men's basketball team tipped off round two of conference play on Saturday (Jan. 20), taking on Anderson in a meeting of two teams tied atop the league.
The Grizzlies (9-8, 7-3 HCAC) had three players finish the game in double figures, but saw their five-game winning streak snapped by the Ravens (13-4, 8-2 HCAC) in a 95-77 loss.
Anderson used a 10-0 run early in the game to take the lead for good, with the Ravens knocking down 52.2% (35-for-67) of their shots en route to the win. Franklin was led by 19 points from
Braden Flanagan with
Cooper Matthews and
Dylan Beverly setting new career highs with 15 and 12 points, respectively.
Franklin shot 46.6% (34-for-73) from the field and 7-for-26 from three on the night. Jesse Morgan led the Grizzlies with five rebounds and LeBron Bennie-Powell's five assists led all Franklin players.
The Grizzlies are back on the road on Wednesday (Jan. 24) night, wrapping up the regular season series with the Hanover Panthers. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
