Box Score FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin women's tennis team welcomed Johnson University (TN) to Grizzly Park on Saturday (Sept. 16) afternoon.
 
Franklin (0-3) battled the Royals (1-1) tough but suffered a trio of close losses on the afternoon that made the difference as Johnson picked up a 7-2 victory.
 
Both doubles matches were tightly contested but the Royals were able to win one in a tie-breaker and the other 8-5. Sydney Carson was a 6-1, 6-2 winner at No. 4 singles and Brenna Atchison was a 1-6, 6-1, 10-4 winner at No. 5 singles but the Royals took another point off a tie-breaker that sealed the victory.
 
Franklin closes out their fall schedule on Oct. 6 when they hit the road for a meeting with Capital University. First serve is set for 2:00 p.m.
