RECAP | Montano Nets First Career Goal in Matchup with Otterbein

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Franklin men's soccer team headed back out on the road on Wednesday (Sept. 13) evening for a matchup with the Otterbein Cardinals.

An early penalty kick put the Grizzlies (0-4-1) behind in the opening minutes and the Griz spent the rest of the day playing catch-up. Juan Montano would find the net for the first time in his career in the second half but the Cardinals (1-1-2) would take a 4-1 decision.

Montano found the back of the net in the 89th minute, slotting home an unassisted tally. He would finish with two of Franklin's nine shot attempts, tying with Jon Moore and Theo Sasso for the team lead in shots. Freshman Easton Terry took over in goal in the opening minute, making 11 saves in his second career appearance.

Franklin continues their trek through the non-conference schedule on Saturday (Sept. 16), heading to Louisville, Ky. for a meeting with Spalding. Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
