ANDERSON, Ind. – The Franklin men's basketball team continued their season-long five-game road trip on Saturday (Feb. 4) afternoon, taking on conference co-leader Anderson.
Sophomore
Lynn King had a career-high 22 points, leading all scorers in the game. But the Grizzlies (12-9, 8-6 HCAC) were plagued by shooting struggles and the Ravens (13-8, 11-3 HCAC) pulled away late to win 77-58.
How it Happened
After going without a field goal for five minutes to open the game, Franklin got back-to-back buckets from
Carter Crowe to snap the skid and get within a pair at 8-6. But a 13-2 Anderson run would follow the Crowe buckets to give the hosts their first double digit lead of the day. The Grizzlies spent the rest of the half playing catch-up and headed into the locker room facing a 37-27 deficit.
The Grizzlies opened the second half with six straight points to get within four and sat trailing by seven with 8:50 to go in the game at 57-50. However, the rest of the game saw Franklin struggle to knock down shots while the Ravens pulled away.
