HANOVER, Ind. – The Franklin men's basketball team wrapped up a five-game road trip on Wednesday (Feb. 8) night with a matchup against the Hanover Panthers.
Sophomore
Jacob Deere potted a career-high 15 points to lead all Franklin (12-10, 8-7 HCAC) players, but the Griz couldn't secure a season sweep of the Panthers (15-7, 11-4 HCAC) with Hanover winning 98-62.
The Panthers never trailed, opening the game on an 11-2 run and using the three-point shot to put distance between the two teams. Hanover knocked down 12 first half threes on their way to a 50-35 lead at the break. The second half saw the Grizzlies struggle shooting the ball, as they went 9-for-28 from the floor over the final 20 minutes.
Deere played a career-high 22 minutes, going 6-for-9 from the floor and chipping in with five rebounds.
Lynn King just missed out on a double-double with 14 points and nine boards and
