LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Franklin men's basketball team continued their five-game road trip on Wednesday (Feb. 1) with a matchup against the Transylvania Pioneers.

Nathaniel Hoffman recorded a career-high 17 points and
Lynn King had his fifth double-double of the year with 15 points and 10 rebounds. But the Grizzlies (12-8, 8-5 HCAC) struggled shooting the ball all night and the Pioneers (11-9, 8-5 HCAC) pounced to win 98-68.
How it Happened
The Grizzlies connected on 48.1% (13-for-27) of their first half shot attempts but couldn't slow down a Pioneer offense that shot 52.8% from the floor with seven threes in the opening 20 minutes. The second half saw the Pioneers improve those numbers to 66.7% from the field with 10 three-pointers as they closed out the win to move into a tie with the Grizzlies in the conference standings.

-Hoffman went 7-for-10 from the floor to surpass his previous career-high of 16 points set earlier this year.
-In addition to leading the Griz in rebounding, King's five assists were also tops among all FC players.
-Franklin's bench contributed to 42 of their points on the night, out-scoring the Pioneers' reserves by six.
