ALBION, Mich. – The Franklin women's basketball team journeyed north on Tuesday (Nov. 21) night for a stiff road test against the Albion Britons.

Payton Seay netted a career-high 12 points and junior
Taylor Cooney added 11 for the Grizlies (2-1), but shooting woes all game long proved too much to overcome as the Britons (4-1) ran away with an 81-58 win.
How it Happened
Five straight points in the early going put Franklin in front but an 8-0 Britons run made it a 12-5 game with two minutes to play in the first quarter. Franklin clawed back into things with six straight points, helping cut Albion's lead down to three at 14-11 after 10 minutes of play.
The shooting struggles started to show in the second quarter, with Franklin going 4-for-15 from the floor in the period to fall behind 30-20 at the break. Franklin got back within striking distance with a 10-4 run to open the second half, but the Britons closed the third quarter strong to restore a double-digit lead, which they would carry throughout the final period.
