RECAP | Grizzlies Grab Point with Comeback Effort Against Bluffton

BLUFFTON, Ohio – The Franklin women's soccer team secured a critical point on Saturday (Oct. 7) afternoon, rallying from a two-goal halftime deficit to earn a draw with the Bluffton Beavers.
 
Jaiden Baker and Lauren Barker scored early in the second half to rescue a point for Franklin (2-5-6, 1-1-2 HCAC) and come away with a 2-2 tie.
 
How it Happened
The Beavers opened up a two-goal lead with tallies in the 31st and 38th minutes, respectively to take a commanding lead into the break. But the Grizzlies came out of the break firing and got back within a goal in the 56th minute with Jaiden Baker finishing off a Kinsey Price pass for her second goal of the year.
 
Franklin kept the pressure on and it paid off in the 65th minute with freshman Lauren Barker converting her second of the year to tie things up. The Grizzlies had the game's final scoring chance coming from Jada Tooley late in the game, but would settle for the draw.
 
Inside the Box Score
-Shots were 11-7 in Franklin's favor with both teams putting six shots on target.
-Baker, Barker and Maddison Claybrooke all had two shot attempts.
-Price's assist on Baker's goal was her first point of the year.
-Makenna Mundy stopped four shots in goal for Franklin.
