FRANKLIN – The Franklin men's soccer team welcomed the Earlham Quakers to Faught Stadium on Saturday (Oct. 21) night for the team's final home match of the regular season and senior night.
The Grizzlies (3-9-4, 2-4-2 HCAC) spent the bulk of the night in the Quakers' (4-8-4, 2-4-2 HCAC) end, but one counter attack the other way accounted for the game's lone goal with Earlham spoiling senior night with a 1-0 win.
The game's lone goal came in the 36
th minute and the Quakers kept the Grizzlies from finding an equalizer in the second half. Franklin finished the night with a 14-8 edge in shot attempts and 8-3 over the final 45 minutes but couldn't get the coveted tying goal before the final whistle.
Franklin wraps up the regular season on Wednesday (Oct. 25) night, heading to Kentucky to face off with the Transylvania Pioneers. Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
