TERRRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Franklin men's basketball team saw their three-game winning streak come to an end on Wednesday (Jan. 4) night in an 85-66 loss at Rose-Hulman.
Ryan Bostic led the way for the Grizzlies (7-5, 3-2 HCAC) with 15 points, one of three players to finish the night in double figures for Franklin. But the Engineers (6-6, 3-2 HCAC) controlled the game with strong shooting and a sizeable edge on the glass.
How it Happened
A pair of early threes from Bostic and
Trey Flatt and a
Lynn King layup had the Grizzlies locked in an 8-8 tie with four minutes gone. But the game flipped with a 13-3 Rose run that set the Engineers up to take a 42-26 lead after one half.
Franklin got back within single digits at 61-52 with nine minutes to go thanks to a furious run after the Engineers' lead expanded to 21. But the Grizzlies' comeback bid was snuffed out as Rose stretched the lead back to double figures and rode it all the way to the end.

-Franklin shot 47.9% (23-for-48) from the floor, going 6-for-16 from three and 14-for-19 from the line.
-King added 11 points and Flatt had 10 points, joining Bostic in double figures.
