RECAP | Grizzlies Clipped by DePauw on Wednesday Night

FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin women's soccer team returned home on Wednesday (Sept. 7) night for a meeting with in-state rival DePauw University.

The Grizzlies (1-2) conceded an early lead and spent the rest of the game playing catch-up, with the Tigers (2-0-1) hanging on for a 1-0 win.

The game's lone goal came in the 16th minute with the Tigers scoring off a corner kick. Shortly after the goal, Franklin's Jaiden Baker had the Grizzlies' best chance at tying the game but her long-distance strike was turned aside on its way to the top left corner. The Tigers shut down any quality scoring chances the rest of the way.

Baker, Jada Tooley and Elaina Page paced the offensive scoring chances while Makenna Mundy stopped six shots on target in the Franklin goal.
