ANDERSON, Ind. – The Franklin women's soccer team hit the road for their Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) opener, taking on the Anderson Ravens on Wednesday (Sept. 28) afternoon.
The Grizzlies (2-6, 0-1 HCAC) fell victim to a second half surge from the Ravens (4-2-2, 1-0 HCAC), with Anderson scoring early and late in the second half to take a 2-0 victory.
How it Happened
Shots in the opening half were 8-4 in Anderson's favor but the better of the scoring chances went to the Grizzlies. Franklin put the only two shots on target in the first half with
Jada Tooley and
Jaiden Baker getting attempts on goal.
The momentum shifted in the 47
th minute on an Anderson goal and the Ravens added an insurance marker in the 86
th minute. Shots were 12-2 in Anderson's favor in the second half with both FC shots going off target.
