FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin College women's soccer team thanked the eight members of their senior class ahead of Saturday's (Oct. 1) Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) opener against the Bluffton Beavers.

Lilly Haines were honored ahead of kick-off on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon at Faught Stadium. But the Grizzlies (2-7, 0-2 HCAC) had their day spoiled by the Beavers (2-6-1, 1-1 HCAC) with Bluffton taking a 1-0 decision.
How it Happened
Chances favored the Grizzlies in the opening half, with Franklin putting with attempts at the Beavers with six shots landing on target. But Franklin couldn't find the back of the net and the teams headed into the break locked in a draw.
The game's lone goal came in the 55
th minute when Emma White banged in the game winner. The final 45 minutes saw Bluffton hold an 8-3 edge in shot attempts, holding the hosts without an attempt over the final 14 minutes of play.
