RECAP | Women's Soccer Battle Manchester to Wednesday Night Draw

FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin women's soccer team continued a three-match homestand on Wednesday (Oct. 5) night, taking on the Manchester Spartans.

The Grizzlies (2-7-1, 0-2-1 HCAC) dominated on the shot clock, holding a 19-4 advantage at the end of 90 minutes. However, the Grizzlies couldn't get one of their 12 shots on target past the Spartan (2-8-1, 1-1-1 HCAC) defense, settling for a 0-0 draw.

The opening half saw possession stay in the Manchester end, with Franklin holding a 7-0 advantage in shots in the first half. The second half saw more of the same with Franklin out-chancing their foe 12-4 but all seven attempts on target were turned back.

Elaina page led all players with five attempts and four shots on target. Lilly Haines, Jada Tooley and Katelyn Duff all had three shot attempts each.

Makenna Mundy got the start in goal and turned back three shots that came her way.
