RECAP | Moses Finds Net for First Time, Grizzlies Drop Saturday Road Match with Albion

ALBION, Mich. – The Franklin women's soccer team played their second match in three days and final road match of the non-conference schedule on Saturday (Sept. 17) when they took on the Albion Britons.

Freshman Meghan Moses netted her first career goal in the opening half but the Grizzlies (2-3) couldn't add to that total, dropping a 3-1 decision to the Britons (3-0-2).

How it Happened
After conceding the game's first goal, the Grizzlies got back to even in the 30th minute when Tipton, Ind.-native Moses found the back of the net to grab the equalizer. But the Britons had a response in the 39th minute and added a penalty kick goal in the 74th minute to seal the victory.

Inside the Box Score
-Elaina Page topped the Grizzlies with a pair of shot attempts on the day. Albion finished the night with an 18-4 edge on the shot counter.
-A trio of Franklin players made their career debuts on Saturday afternoon. Rorie Dilbone and Emma Williams saw their first action of the year in the field and freshman goalkeeper Natalia Ferrufino saw 43 minutes of action in the second half, stopping four shots.
