WILMORE, Ky. – The Franklin College volleyball team posted their second consecutive win on Saturday (Sept. 10) afternoon, handling the Asbury Eagles in four sets.
The Grizzlies (3-3) got a team-high eight kills from
Kaitlyn Lavy while the team racked up nine aces and eight solo blocks to turn back the Eagles (1-3) 25-19, 21-25, 25-22, 25-18.
Franklin closed out the opening set with an 8-3 run to take a one-set let, but the Eagles answered with a game two win to tie things up. The Grizzlies would rely on their defense to close out the victory, as they pulled away late in games three and four.
