FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin College women's soccer team made their 2022 season debut under the lights on Thursday (Sept. 1) night, hosting the Trine Thunder.
The Grizzlies' (0-1) attack was stifled by the Thunder (1-0) defense all night, with the road side claiming a 2-0 victory and spoiling the Franklin head coaching debut of Jen Jackson.
How it Happened
The two sides played it close to the vest in the early going, with just one combined shot over the first 30 minutes. The ice breaker came in the 42
nd minute, when the Thunder got a third chance in close that resulted in the first goal. Trine doubled the lead early in the second half and kept the Franklin comeback attempt in check the rest of the way.
