CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. – The Franklin College men's soccer team kicked off the 2022 campaign on Thursday (Sept. 1) night against Wabash in the head coaching debut of bench boss
Josh Galvin.
The Grizzlies (0-1) got a goal from
Jon Moore and a seven-save showing from
Ian Rowe, but were done in by a pair of first half goals from the Little Giants (1-0) in a 3-1 Wabash victory.
How it Happened
The home side swarmed the area early and went into the break with the lead thanks to goals in the 12
th and 39
th minutes, respectively. Moore potted Franklin's first goal of the year with a successful penalty kick in the 69
th minute, his first career goal from the PK spot.

-Franklin finished the night with 10 shot attempts, with
Dany Escamilla's three leading all attackers.
-Five players made their career debuts in the blue and gold. Sophomore defender
Lucas Stout earned a place in the starting 11 with freshmen
Lal Tlang,

Luiz Martin all coming off the bench in their first appearances.
