Box Score HANOVER, Ind. – The Franklin College women's lacrosse team made their second trip of the season to Hanover on Wednesday (May 4) afternoon to meet the host Panthers in the semifinals of the 2022 Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) Tournament.
Sophomore Baleigh Riddle netted the first three goals of the day for the Grizzlies (4-9) and Anya Glodowski set a career high with six assists. But the Panthers (10-6) had Franklin's number on this day, winning the game 14-9 and bringing the Grizzlies' season to a close.
How it Happened
Riddle opened the scoring just 2:15 into the game but it proved to be the Grizzlies' lone tally of the first quarter, as Hanover scored six unanswered the rest of the period. Riddle netted back-to-back goals 2:10 apart early in the second and Victoria Simmons potted her first of the day, but the Griz headed into the break facing a 9-4 deficit.
Franklin got within four goals on two separate occasions in the second half, but weren't able to close the gap any further before the final whistle.

-Riddle ends the year with 42 goals, matching Lexi Ingram's mark for the most in a season in program history. She tied with Simmons, Mia Turnbaugh and Bella Frye for most shot attempts with five in the game.
-Simmons netted two goals and an assist and Turnbaugh potted a pair of goals for the FC offense.
-Frye led the Grizzlies with six draw controls to go along with a goal and two ground balls.
-Chyna Jackson, Kara Woodard and Riley Rice tied for the team lead with four ground balls. Freshman Delaney McCafferty topped the team with four caused turnovers.
