RECAP | Women's Lacrosse Suffers Setback at Transylvania on Saturday

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Franklin College women's lacrosse team hit the road for the final time in the regular season on Saturday (Apr. 23) for a Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) matchup with the Transylvania Pioneers.

The Grizzlies (3-8, 2-2 HCLC) couldn't keep pace with the Pioneers (5-9, 3-0 HCLC), with Transy taking the win by a 21-2 count. Baleigh Riddle scored a first quarter goal for Franklin and Devyn Kerr potted her third of the year late in the game. Victoria Simmons handed out an assist on both goals, giving her seven helpers for the week and extending her team lead on the year to 24.

Franklin returns home for the final week of the regular season and a Wednesday (Apr. 27) night matchup with the Spalding Golden Eagles. The opening draw from Faught Stadium is set for 7:00 p.m.
