RECAP | Grizzlies Drop Mid-Week Matchup with Bethel

FRANKLIN, Ind. - The Franklin College women's lacrosse team welcomed NAIA in-state for Bethel to Faught Stadium for a Wednesday (Mar. 9) matchup. 

The Grizzlies (1-3) fell behind the Pilots (2-2) early as Bethel rattled off a big first quarter on their way to a 21-3 win. Sophomre Bella Frye scored twice for the Grizzlies and Baleigh Riddle added to her team-leading goal total for Franklin in the second quarter.

Riddle finished the night with a team-leading six shot attempts with all landing on target. Victoria Simmons handed out an assist on Riddle's goal to give her points in all four games. Riley Rice finished the night with seven saves and a team-leading three ground balls collected. 

Franklin's homestand is set to continue on Saturday (Mar. 12) afternoon, when the Grizzlies host Adrian University. The opening draw from Faught Stadium is set for 1:00 p.m.
