Box Score FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin College women's lacrosse team welcomed the Adrian Bulldogs to Faught Stadium on Sunday (Mar. 20) afternoon for a non-conference matchup.
Junior Anya Glodowski and sophomore Bayleigh Riddle both recorded five-point afternoons for the Grizzlies (1-4), but late surges in each half from the Bulldogs (3-3) proved to be the difference as Adrian claimed a 16-8 win.
How it Happened
The Grizzlies controlled the first two draws and turned them into goals with Glodowski and Riddle each scoring in the first 1:38 of play. Glodowski added her second goal of the day with 9:13 to go in the first quarter, but Adrian would lead 5-3 after one period. Riddle netted her second of the day at the 8:35 mark of the second quarter to cut the deficit to one, but Adrian netted four goals over the last 3:22 of the second quarter and lead 9-4 at the break.
Down by seven late in the third quarter, the Grizzlies rallied with two goals from Riddle and one from Devyn Kerr over the final 5:05 to make it 11-7 Bulldogs with one quarter to play. Victoria Simmons cut the lead to three with a goal to open the fourth, but the comeback would stall there and Adrian netted the final five goals of the day.

-Shots were 27-16 in Adrian's favor with the Grizzlies winning the ground ball battle by a 25-23 count.
