RECAP | Women's Swimming & Diving Faces Off at Indiana Intercollegiates

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Franklin College women's swimming & diving team faced off against some of the state's top competition on Saturday (Oct. 22) at the Indiana Intercollegiate Meet. Teams from NCAA Division I, Division III and the NAIA were in attendance at the meet on the campus of Purdue University.
 
The Grizzly women finished sixth overall at the meet and tops among DIII teams, picking up 94 points on the day.
 
Notable finishes from the meet included:
  • Kennedy Minter – 14th place in the 50 freestyle (26.04)
  • Caileigh McCafferty – 11th place in the 100 IM (1:02.08) & 16th in the 100 backstroke (1:01.65)
  • Samantha Phillips – 12th in the 500 free (5:25.73) & 19th in the 100 butterfly (1:01.80)
  • Regan Hendricks – 20th place in 100 IM (1:07.86)
  • Faith Jackson – 9th on 1-meter board (188.15) & 10th on 3-meter board (203.00).
  • Carley Bond – 14th on 1-meter board (159.20) & 14th on 3-meter board (173.75)
 
The Grizzlies are off for two weeks to prepare for their first dual match of the season, which takes place on Saturday, Nov. 5 in Illinois against the Wheaton Thunder. Start time from Wheaton is set for 1:00 p.m. eastern time.
