DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Franklin men's soccer team played their final road match of the regular season on Saturday (Oct. 22) afternoon, taking on the Defiance Yellow Jackets.

Htoo Ray Moo potted a first half goal for the Grizzlies (3-12, 3-5 HCAC), but the away side was done in on a pair of penalty kicks from the hosts with Defiance claiming a 2-1 victory.
In a frantic opening half of play, Moo found the back of the net in the 23
rd minute on his fourth shot attempt of the game and an early 1-0 lead. But the Yellow Jackets would get the tying marker in the 56
th minute off a rebound from a saved penalty kick and they took the lead in the 75
th minute on a converted PK.
Shots in the match were 18-18 with Franklin holding a 7-6 edge in shots on target.
Eddy Yousak led all players with eight shot attempts and four shots on goal. Moo had six shot attempts, setting a new career-high.
Franklin closes out the regular season on Wednesday (Oct. 26) night when they host Transylvania with a spot in the HCAC Tournament up for grabs. The Grizzlies enter the final day of the regular season tied in the conference standings with Anderson for the final playoff spot but hold the tie-breaker thanks to a win over the Ravens earlier this year.
