RICHMOND, Ind. – The Franklin College volleyball team opened a critical two-game road trip on Monday (Oct. 17) night, taking on the Earlham Quakers in conference action.
Attacking struggles plagued the Grizzlies (8-13, 2-4 HCAC) all game long, with Franklin hitting just .028 on the night as Earlham (11-11, 4-2 HCAC) picked up a straight set win 25-15, 25-20, 28-26.
Sophomore
Miranda Wilson led Franklin with 10 kills on the night, hitting .231 for the evening.
Hope Moring added eight kills on a team-high 28 attacking attempts.
Billie Jarrett handed out 17 assists and led the Grizzlies with 14 digs.
Chloe Holder and
Kaitlyn Lavy each had four aces on the night while
Trinity Schroeder had a team-high five blocks.
Franklin is back in action on Thursday (Oct. 20) night, traveling north to take on the Manchester Spartans in the second meeting of the year between the two teams. Manchester won the scheduled non-conference in four sets back on Sept. 17.
First serve is set for 7:00 p.m.
