Box Score

FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin College women's lacrosse team stepped back onto their home playing surface on Wednesday (Apr. 14) night for a Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) matchup with the Anderson Ravens.

The two teams went back-and-forth all night long on the scoreboard, exchanging the lead on five occasions and one team recording a tying goal nine different times. But the final shot of the game proved to be the deciding factor as Franklin (0-6, 0-2 HCLC) dropped a 12-11 matchup to the Ravens (4-3, 1-1 HCLC).

How it Happened
Less than a minute into the action, Franklin's Anya Glodowski potted a free position goal and Bella Frye would do the same just 4:31 into the game to even things up at 2-2. Back-to-back goals from Victoria Simmons were followed by Glodowski's second tally of the game with 5:32 left in the half to make it 5-4 Grizzlies. Bayliehg Riddle netted two goals late in the first half and the two teams headed into the break tied at 7-7.

Riddle potted her third of the game less than six minutes into the second half in what proved to be the only goal of the first 17 minutes of the period. The final 12:28 would produce eight goals between the two team, with Riddle adding another and Abbey Voss scoring twice, the second tying things up at 11-11 with 1:49 to go.

But the ensuing draw would go to Anderson and Samantha Huber fired home a free position shot with 1:03 to play. The Ravens would claim the draw that followed and run out the clock.
