Box Score MISHIWAKA, Ind. – The Franklin College women's lacrosse team was back on the pitch following a 12-day hiatus, taking on the Bethel Pilots on Thursday (Mar. 25) evening.
The Grizzlies (0-3) got goals from four different players but fell victim to a hot start from the host Pilots (3-4) in a 21-5 Bethel win.
Bethel netted the game's first seven goals before Abbey Voss broke the streak with her third goal of the season with 22:36 to go in the half. Lora Adkins netted her third goal of the year with 15:55 to play in the half in what proved to be the final goal of the opening 30 minutes for the Grizzlies.
Just 92 seconds into the second half, Bayleigh Riddle found the twine for her second goal of the year. Voss and Anya Glodowski would join her in recording second half goals.
Glodowski led the Grizzlies with four points, assisting on three goals to go along with her tally and recording team-high totals with five shots, three shots on goal and three ground balls. Courtney Jones recorded five saves in goal for the Grizzlies.
Franklin opens conference play on Saturday, April 3 when they host Hanover College at Faught Stadium. The opening draw is set for 1:00 p.m.
