How it Happened
Franklin used a 6-1 run to turn a 14-14 tied into a sizeable lead that the Grizzlies held on to on their way to a game one win. The Grizzlies grabbed an early lead in set two and held on to it until late when Defiance fought back to take a 23-22 edge. But a Yellow Jacket service error followed by consecutive kills from Sara Allen and Miranda Wilson stuffed the hosts from evening things up and made it a 2-0 FC lead.
That comeback seemed to take the wind out of the Yellow Jackets' sails, as Franklin rolled out to a 16-2 lead in game three. Chloe Holder closed out the Grizzlies' sixth sweep of the year with a game-ending block.
