Box Score LISLE, Ill. – The Franklin women's lacrosse team hit the road for the first time in 2020 on Monday (Mar. 9) night, heading to the Chicagoland area to take on the Benedictine Eagles.

The two sides traded quality scoring chances early with Benedictine getting the first shot of the game less than 20 seconds in and Franklin's first golden chance coming on a Cassidy Yant free position shot. But Yant fired high of the cage and the Eagles took the ball down the field to score the first of five straight goals.

The rest of the half was all Eagles, as Benedictine closed the half with five straight goals and opened the second half with three in a row before Glodowski buried her first of the night with 12:32 to play. The Noblesville, Ind.-native would add her second of the day and team-high fourth goal of the year right before the final horn.
The Grizzlies set season high totals in shots (16) and shots on goal (10) with Glodowski leading the team with seven attempts and four shots on target. Abbey Voss topped the Grizzlies with three ground balls and tied with Adkins for most caused turnovers with two. Adkins grabbed four of the team's draw controls. In goal, junior Courtney Jones stopped 11 shots, giving her back-to-back games with double digit saves.
Franklin returns home for their next game, which comes on Wednesday (Mar. 11) night against Hanover in the team's Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) opener. The opening draw is set for 7:00 p.m.
