Volleyball Stands 7-6 on Season Following Kenyon Invite

Gambier, Ohio - The Franklin College volleyball team lost a pair of matches to conclude play at the Kenyon Invitational on Saturday. The Grizzlies stand 7-6 on the season.

Franklin lost in straight sets to Albion College (25-23, 25-21, 25-17) before losing to host Kenyon in three sets (25-19, 25-10, 25-14).

In the opener against Albion, junior Amanda Lelivelt led the hitting attack with six kills and three blocks. Junior Brooke Harvey, sophomore Sydney Stuckwisch, and freshman Jenna Spini each added five kills in the contest.

Senior Ashley Bazier led Franklin with 13 assists, while freshman Nico Morris recorded 11 assists. Morris led the team's defensive effort with 14 digs.

Kenyon (10-3) posted a .330 hitting percentage to pick up the victory. Sophomore Gab Arthur and Harvey each tied for team-high honors with six kills. Bazier tallied 17 assists and 11 digs defensively in the match. Stahl registered 10 digs for the Grizzlies.

Franklin returns to action on Wednesday, September 21 at 7 p.m. when it hosts Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College from the Spurlock Center.
